Three years ago, I moved from Fresno to Oakhurst, California and was excited about all the new activities the new location offered: hiking trails, biking paths in Yosemite and an incredible climate for being outdoors.

There was just one problem: I weighed more than 225 pounds and didn't want to go outside.
